California Faces Elementary School Truancy Crisis

Attorney General Kamala Harris called it a crisis that has cost the state billions of dollars. LA County alone lost out on more than $340 million in public education funds during the last school year due to unexcused absences. Pacifica KPFK’s Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
