Secretary of Homeland Security Napolitano Resigns to Serve as UC President

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is set to become the next president of the University of California after a 10-member search committee unanimously nominated her to succeed outgoing president Mark Yudof. Napolitano is inheriting a full plate of issues including rising tuition, labor disputes, and criticism over high executives' pay. The UC Board of Regents is expected to approve Napolitano's nomination next Thursday in San Francisco. Arielle Zionts has more:
