16-Year-Old Transgender Student Urges Governor to Sign Bill

A 16 year old transgender student from Manteca is urging Governor Jerry Brown to sign a bill that would protect the rights of trangender students to participate in sex-segregated programs according to the students’ gender identity. The measure has already passed out of the legislature and now awaits action from the Governor. Student Ashton Lee traveled to the state capitol to deliver petitions urging Governor Brown to sign the measure. Christopher Martinez reports from the State Capitol.
