Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has joined County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas in speaking out in support of a metro station in what is considered the center of black culture in Los Angeles. The City Council voted to pledge $40 million in Measure R funds towards the Leimert Park stop in the Crenshaw district.
