Bill Would Expand Abortion Access

A bill to increase access to abortion has passed its first hurdle in the state legislature. An Assembly committee approved a measure that would expand the number of providers who can perform a type of early term abortion known as aspiration abortion. The bill won support from Democrats, but was opposed by Republican lawmakers, including one who held up plastic model fetuses and compared abortion in America to the Holocaust. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
