A large number of Los Angeles County voters who took part in 2008 elections didn't cast ballots this time around. California's Secretary of State says 49.8 percent of those registered in the county voted. That was down from 76.8 percent in 2008. There were scattered reports of voting irregularities and confusion regarding absentee ballots. Despite this, about 2 million county voters took to the polls to decide important local and county-wide measures. Pacifica KPFK’s Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
