Warehouse Workers Conclude 50 Mile March at LA City Hall

Warehouse workers from Southern California’s Inland Empire were welcomed into downtown LA this afternoon by hundreds of supporters at the conclusion of a 50-mile march. Los Angeles labor leaders hailed the striking workers as heroes. Warehouse Workers United say the Walmarch hopes to raise awareness of poor working conditions in the Inland Empire’s industrial hub. The union says Walmart has turned a blind eye at conditions inside the warehouses it contracts. Pacifica KPFK’s Ernesto Arce files this report.
