Two veteran prosecutors faced off this week in a Los Angeles County District Attorney candidate debate. Although there weren’t too many major policy disagreements, Deputy DA Alan Jackson and Chief Deputy DA Jackie Lacey became increasingly hostile during the back and forth. They traded personal attacks during exchanges on the death penalty, the state’s three strikes law and even their professional accomplishments.
