Los Angeles school district officials are refuting claims by a teacher and activist in South Central LA who claims he’s the target of political retribution.
Ron Gochez has taught at Santee Education Complex since it opened seven years ago. Last month, he received a displacement letter notifying him that he would be sent to another school.
Gochez says it’s a move to silence his political activism. School officials say it’s the result of budget cuts and teacher contracts.
