LA In-Home Caregivers Ask for 65 Cent Raise

Los Angeles County home caregivers and their supporters rallied outside of the Board of Supervisors budget meeting this morning.
They’re calling on the Board to approve a 65 cent raise towards a living wage.
During the discussion, Supervisor Gloria Molina said she supported the raise but not if nearly half the increase would go to the United Long Term Care Workers union.
She reminded ULTCW leaders that its former president was forced to resign after allegations of misappropriating union money.
Pacifica KPFK’s Ernesto Arce has more from Los Angeles.
