Thousands of college students, educators and their supporters rallied on the steps of the State Capitol. They called for more funding for higher education and for passage of the "Millionaire's Tax" which may appear on the November ballot. Some then moved inside for a "General Assembly" and vowed to remain and risk arrest. Christopher Martinez filed this report.
Update: 72 people were arrested after refusing to leave the State Capitol when the building closed.
