Students Cite Culture of Violence Following Carson Brawl

Los Angeles school officials say yesterday’s brawl at Carson High School that sent several students to the hospital was not racially motivated. Witnesses say a fist fight that broke out between two students during a morning recess quickly escalated into a brawl between competing tagger crews. District officials and city leaders ordered additional security. But students say a culture of violence is spilling onto campus.
