San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee charged Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi with official misconduct today following the sheriff's guilty plea in the domestic violence case involving Mirkarimi's wife. Mirkarimi's suspension from office came as District Attorney George Gascon spoke out about the investigation and accusations that the prosecution of Mirkarimi was politically motivated.
