Oakland Mayor Jean Quan has announced the city will conduct a probe of the use of force by police officers against Occupy Oakland demonstrators. The announcement came as the East Bay Express reported that the Oakland Police Department assigned officers with a history of violence to the frontlines of confrontation with Occupy Oakland.
