Los Angeles Democratic Representative Karen Bass has blasted her Republican colleagues for "playing politics with the American public's livelihood." She called the failure to vote on the bi-partisan Senate bill to extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits "just plain wrong, especially in these uncertain economic times."
