There's a national day of action against foreclosures across the country today. In California, Occupy Wall Street members will join longtime activists on the issue of foreclosure like the community group ACCE, the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment.
* In Los Angeles, activists will support two homeowners who say they plan to reoccupy their homes. There are two bus pickup locations. One is at 11 am at First and Main. The second pickup is at 11:30 am at 3655 Grand Avenue.
* In San Francisco, at 10:30 am, a rally and action begin at the home of Vivian Richardson at 1479 Quesada Ave. and will support two Bayview families defending their homes against foreclosure, sale and eviction.
* In San Jose, an 11 am event in front of the home of a woman who supporters say is an elderly cancer patient who lived in her home for 41 years, before being foreclosed on by Wells Fargo. The address is 345 Currie Drive.
* In Redwood City, a noontime event in front of a home at 310 C St.
* In Oakland, from 10 am - 1 pm, a speak out by families facing foreclosure in Snow Park at 19th and Harriston St.
* In Oakland at 11:30 am, leaving from Snow Park, a march to 12th & Fallon to "Occupy the Auction Block".
* In Oakland at 2 pm, a march and rally from the West Oakland BART station to a foreclosed property in West Oakland
* In Oakland at 4:00 pm, a rally in Defremery Park at 16th and Adeline to support families reclaiming their homes.
* In Petaluma at 10 am, the owner of a house located at 15 Hill Drive, just west of Webster St. and Western Ave., will share her story of a struggle with Citibank to obtain a mortgage modification..
