Nearly 30,000 undocumented immigrants in the U.S. will spend the
holidays in one of over 350 federal detention centers.
Immigrant rights activists across the country are calling on the Obama
administration to stop detentions and deportations especially during
the holiday season. This morning, a youth symphony from South Los Angeles held a
performance outside of the Department of Homeland Security’s
Metropolitan Detention Center. Ernesto Arce filed this report.
