The San Francisco Department of the Environment this morning launched a campaign to alert consumers about the dangers of common household mouse and rat bait. The "don't take the bait" campaign asks consumers and retailers to avoid or stop selling certain types of vermin control bait that the Environmental Protection Agency says poses an unreasonable risk to children, pets and the environment.
