The Department of Labor says the nation’s unemployment rate held at 9.1 percent in August signaling what many financial experts say is a stalled economy. Today’s Employment Situation Summary revealed that while the private sector created 17,000 jobs last month, the government slashed that same number of public workers. Californians face an even worse situation with the jobless rate still at 12 percent.
