California Supreme Court justices had tough questions for opponents of Proposition 8 -- the state's same sex marriage ban. The court heard arguments on whether the sponsors of Proposition 8 should be allowed to defend the measure in a federal appeals court since California's Governor and Attorney General have declined to do so.
