A groundbreaking ceremony was held today in Los Angeles for the Expo Line project, which will extend the light rail line from Culver City to Santa Monica. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was among the dignitaries who took part in the ceremonial groundbreaking event just a few blocks from the Santa Monica pier. Metro officials hope that the 6.6-mile, $1.5 billion extension will be completed in 2015. Ernesto Arce has more from Los Angeles.
