Immigrants Rights Groups Denounce Secure Communities Program

Immigrant rights activists from as far away as Arizona and Utah are in Los Angeles today to denounce the expansion of the Secure Communities Program. Last week, the Department of Homeland Security announced it was moving forward with its local law enforcement partnership. DHS says S-Comm has led to the successful deportation of tens of thousands of criminal aliens. But critics say it has targeted law-abiding immigrants and created fear in the undocumented community.
