Goodwin Liu Set To Join California Supreme Court

Berkeley Law School Professor Goodwin Liu has been unanimously confirmed to become the California Supreme Court's newest justice. Governor Jerry Brown nominated Liu to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Carlos Moreno. It was a stark contrast to the bitter and ultimately unsuccessful battle that raged after President Obama nominated Liu to a federal appeals court.
