A group of conservative lawmakers and residents have banded together to form the South California secessionist movement. Although critics call it a ridiculous idea that would require hundreds of millions of dollars to execute, proponents say the idea is gaining momentum. Today, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors gave unanimous approval to a summit that would explore the idea of splitting California into two states.
