Prison Hunger Strike Ends At Pelican Bay

Attorneys working with prisoners at Pelican Bay state prison confirmed today that their hunger strike has ended. This, after California prison officials made some minor concessions and promised to review MORE changes. The three-week strike over conditions in Claifornia’s maximum security facilities spread to prisons across the state. Prison officials have confirmed that, at its peak, over 6600 participants participated. Brian Edwards-Tiekert has the story.
