A 20 year-old Long Beach man says he will file suit against the city’s police department for an incident in which he was nearly killed. Johnathan Cabrera was shot at least twice by Long Beach police officers last month who were responding to a domestic disturbance call. He says officers arrived at the wrong location although police say it was Cabrera who was involved in a dispute with his fiancé. Since then, Cabrera says the department has tried to silence the couple to prevent them from publicizing details of the incident. Ernesto Arce reports.
