An Assembly committee has approved a measure requiring that employers provide paid sick leave to their workers. Assemblymember Fiona Ma of San Francisco is the author of the measure. It's modeled on a San Francisco sick leave ordinance. Christopher Martinez spoke with Fiona Ma, who acknowledged her measure is not likely to win ultimate legislative approval this session.
