Los Angeles City Council member Janice Hahn is asking her colleagues to consider putting forward a proposal so that fans could own the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last week, Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig announced he was taking over control of the team’s business operations as a result of the team’s financial woes. Hahn says fan ownership of the renowned franchise can be modeled after the Green Bay Packers. Still, Hahn acknowledged that several hurdles remain before Dodger fans get a chance to purchase shares of the baseball team. Pacifica’s Ernesto Arce has more from Los Angeles.
