L.A. Voters Vote to Tax Marijuana, Not Oil Companies

Los Angeles voters approved a tax on medical marijuana dispensaries and a plan to scale back pensions for newly hired police officers and firefighters. A measure to tax oil extraction went down to defeat after oil companies spent heavily to oppose it. The incumbent members of the Los Angeles City Council easily defeated their challengers, except for Bernard Parks who may be forced into a runoff. Dan Fritz reports.
