Governor Gavin Newsom delivered the keynote address today at the 2019 California Economic Summit taking place in Fresno over the past two days. The gathering brought together several hundred civic leaders, corporate CEO’s and community activists to talk about a wide range of issues affecting the state and in particular THE Central Valley, which many feel HAS been left behind. Notably the summit did not delve into the impacts of climate change, nor did the Governor in his talk. Climate activists outside the hall criticized that lack of attention.
