Negotiations on a US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement are ramping up, with a possible vote later this year or early 2020. But some Democratic lawmakers, unions and other activists are calling for stronger protections for workers, especially in the wake of recent murders and a disappearance of Mexican trade unionists.
