Lawmakers Push for Voting Rights for Parolees

Democratic lawmakers and prisoner rights activists are making a push for a measure to restore voting rights for felons who have served their time in prison and are out on parole. California’s ban on voting rights for parolees is written in the state constitution. Assembly Constitutional Amendment 6 would put the issue on the ballot for voters to decide.
