The annual Joaquin Murrieta horse ride in the San Joaquin Valley, now in its 41st year, has traditionally focused on the life and times of Joaquin Murrieta, who was considered either a bandit or folk hero, depending on the point of view. Now that event has taken a new twist – combining its roots in history with the social injustices of today. Vic Bedoian reports from Fresno.
