A House subcommittee held the first hearing in 12 years on the issue of reparations for descendants of people who were enslaved. The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties held a hearing Wednesday called “HR 40 and the Path to Restorative Justice.”
