Brown Swears In New Supreme Court Justice

Governor Jerry Brown has sworn in Joshua Groban to serve in the California Supreme Court, marking the last of the governor’s judicial appointments before leaving office. The nomination process marks a glaring contrast to federal court appointments, such as Brett Kavanaugh’s controversial appointment to the US Supreme Court. Brown leaves office with a full slate of state judges that many say marks a reflection of California’s diversity.
