A coalition of immigrant rights activists and social justice organizations rallied at the state capitol and Supreme Court as part of a “National Day of Action to End Southeast Asian Deportations.” In California, they’re also calling attention to a state Supreme Court decision to block pardons and commutations by then-Governor Jerry Brown, including one for a Cambodian refugee facing deportation to a country he’s never seen.
