Bay Area visionaries gathered recently to mark 50 years since the creation of the Whole Earth Catalog, a unique, forward thinking publication that’s been called the precursor to google. Founded by Stewart Brand, a Stanford-educated biologist, the Whole Earth Catalog was published between 1968-1972--and anticipated much of what comprises our cultural and technological landscape today.
