The nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has passed out of committee and is moving to the full Senate. The party-line committee vote came with a so-called “gentlemen and ladies agreement” to pause the full vote for up to a week to allow a new FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations.
