The Trump administration is taking action to end an Obama-era program that protected undocumented youths who were brought to the country as children. Trump is phasing out the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” program, or DACA. That’s a program created by executive order under Barak Obama that let some undocumented youths get protections from deportation, and two-year work permits. Almost 800 thousand undocumented youths have been given the DACA protections that Trump is now ending.
