California’s so-called “sanctuary state bill,” Senate Bill 54, is moving toward a vote this week, after an agreement between Governor Jerry Brown and Los Angeles senator Kevin de Leon on amendments to the measure. The amendments remove key opposition from police, but the state sheriff’s association remains opposed to the bill.
