Non-Profit Housed Low Income Residents in Building During Oakland Fire

Urojas Community Services held a press conference in the wake of the deadly Oakland fire last week that killed four people and displaced more than 80 residents. Urojas provided living assistance to more than 40 residents who were living in the building on San Pablo Ave., according to the director Jasper Lowry. He said Urojas Community Services is working with other organizations to house the displaced residents. Pacifica’s Saadia Malik files this report.
