Assemblymember Ting's Homelessness Bill Would Speed Shelter Construction

San Francisco Assemblymember Phil Ting wants to cut red tape in order to speed up construction of supportive housing to address homelessness in San Francisco. His measure would let San Francisco streamline the regulatory process for homeless shelters and supportive housing by adopting a local ordinance. He hopes the measure can be a model for other cities dealing with California’s homelessness crisis.
