Senator Bernie Sanders was in San Francisco on Saturday to drum up support for local progressive campaigns. He started the day at a get-out-the-vote event for State Senate candidate Jane Kim, after which he attended a rally in the Financial District to lend his support to Proposition 61, the prescription drug price initiative. Sanders’ presidential run may have ended in June, but his reception today shows his national progressive agenda is by no means a thing of the past. KPFA’s Andrew Klein has more.
