Neighborhood Mental Health Establishment to be Displaced after 37 Years of Service

Nearly 40 years ago, two psychologists left their jobs at the Haight Ashbury Detox Center to found Haight Ashbury Psychological Services - or HAPS - a low-fee psychotherapy clinic for the working poor in the city. Now their legacy is in danger of disappearing. Plans to replace the clinic's commercial building with condo's threaten its important mental health services. Pacifica's Paulina Velasco reports.
