Berkeley Adopts $15 Minimum Wage Compromise, Now Voters Must Reject 2 Other Ballot Measures to Enact It

The Berkeley City Council adopted a $15 minimum wage in a special meeting after a long struggle between business, labor and political interests. There are currently 2 dueling minimum wage measures - Measure BB and Measure CC - on the Berkeley ballot. If the new ordinance is voted in on Monday, voters will have to reject both measures to enact the $15 minimum wage by October 2018.
