Thursday was “make-or-break” day for hundreds of bills awaiting action in appropriations committees on their way to full floor votes in the State Legislature. The Senate and Assembly committees held marathon sessions to approve some bills, sending them on to final votes, or letting others die in committee. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
