The SFPD Meets the Police Commission After Avoiding a New Drama in San Francisco

The San Francisco police commission held a meeting to meet with supervisor John Avalos and discuss his plan to withhold money from the department until it implements reforms on police use of force. Although he softened the amount of the reserve from 200 million to 100 million dollars, Avalos remains determined to use the carrot and the stick on the department. But the active chief Toney Chaplin opposed Avalos' proposal, saying the new reforms are already being implemented.
