San Francisco Raises Minimum Wage

Today, San Francisco’s minimum wage was increased from $12.25 to $13 an hour –the first step to eventually reaching the goal of $15 an hour by 2018. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee held a press conference this morning with other labor leaders to celebrate this milestone and the city’s effort to increase the minimum wage right before Independence Day weekend.
