Hunger Affects One in Six U.S. Households

The Food Research and Action Center has released a report that says even with the economy recovering, one in six American households struggle to feed their families. While this is an improvement from 2013, when almost 19% of Americans reported difficulty in affording food costs, the report reveals that there is no part of the country unaffected by this issue, with the greatest food hardship rates occurring in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.
