Supervisor Eric Mar introduced a ballot measure today that will place additional taxes on tech companies which often get the blame for overloading the rental market by creating jobs faster than housing can be built. Mar is joined in his call for higher taxes on companies like twitter by fellow supervisors Aaron Peskin and David Campos as well as a coalition of activists known as Jobs with Justice San Francisco, which includes members of local labor unions as well as housing advocates and educators.
